Make Your Nanasala Profitable

Once a Nanasala is setup with the initial support from the ICT Agency of Sri Lanka it is your duty to make it self-sustainable.  To make it self-sustainable, you need to generate money and make a profit.

For people in your community to pay money, you need to provide them some valuable service.  What could these be?

  1. Make your Nanasala the Information Centre in your community.
  2. Constantly find out from the people in the area what are their information needs.
  3. Find answers to these information needs through Government Information Centre (GIC) using Telephone Number "1919".
  4. Download government forms and provide help to fill them (Documents).
  5. Provide all Sweep Results for the past six months (Sweep Results).
  6. Help to create Online CVs (Bio Data)
  7. Provide Free utilities such as Virus Guards, AntiSpyware, Firewalls and other utilities (Free Utilities).
  8. CD Writing, Scanning, Photocopying, Faxing, and Telephone services.
  9. Internet browsing and e-mail facilities.
  10. Basic computer training.
